Dulwich Park

One of my all time favourite places to chill out with the children. There are so many parks in London but only a few (of those I have seen) really standout and Dulwich Park is one of them. Dulwich is gorgeous anyway with stunning houses set in a quaint little village in South London so its no surprise that the park is so lovely. It has rolling landscape as you would expect but in addition to this it hosts a pretty country house at its centre where you can get pretty good lattes. The food here is not amazing unfortunately but if you just fancy a snack, its fine.

It has a pond and two playgrounds, one for younger children and one for older children and they are pretty big so your child will always be able to have a go on something; and if your kids have bikes, this park is brilliant for all with a path paved perfectly for cyclists and runners designed for you to enjoy the entire park.

One of the surprises about this park is that there is a little bike hire venue, near the car park (which is FREE incidentally). This place doesn't just hire your standard bike though! You can get tandems, bikes with trolleys and trailers to carry your kids in, recumbent trikes, side by side tandem tricycles and more. And with 29 acres to explore you can really make the most of them. They are such a great idea!

My children love this place. They actually ask me to go there so they can explore the fictitious caves created under bending trees, race across the wooden bridge over the lake and talk incessantly to the ducks!! The park is well resourced with exercise equipment too which my two keep trying to operate only giving up when they realise that they really are too small for them! But they have fun all the same especially when the sun is shining.

Beautiful place for picnics, great place for chilling and a guaranteed good time for the children.

Everyones a winner

Go visit.

Mama xx
